Mike Glen studied Drama with Scenographic Studies at Aberystwyth University. Graduating in 2007 with a 2.1 (Hons), he went on to work as a theatre technician in Aberystwyth Arts Centre, as well as working with touring Theatre and Dance companies such as Diversions, Earthfall, Welsh National Opera and in house for the Welsh Millenium Centre. In 2008 he began working for Prior Park College in Bath as the Theatre Technician, where he developed his subject knowledge and began working with students on technical projects. This led him to pursue a career in teaching, and he successfuly completed his GTP training year in June 2011.

Mike also works on several projects outside of school, including installation events at festivals, such as the recent Kendal Calling Festival, and organising a charity festival once a year in co-ordination with 3C's Events Company in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
