The Latest News From Borlase

ATHLETICS The Bucks ESAA team at the National Finals in Birmingham included 5 Borlasians. Qualifiers had to reach ESAA standards to be considered so this is an excellent achievement and reflection of serious dedication on the part of the pupils involved. Borlase made up around 20% of the Bucks team. Congratulations to: Morgan Lane (Year 8) who won Gold in the the Junior Girls Long Jump with 5.76m (a new PB, and better than the Senior Girls); Pippa Woolven who won Gold in the Senior girls 1500 Steeplechase in 5:01:90 taking 5 seconds off her PB; and Zac Randall who won Silver in the Senior Boys 800m. Rachel Kelleher finished 6th in her 300m hurldes heat. Unfortunately, JJ Blackstock tripped in the Senior Girls 3000 metre final and was unable to finish.
