Ian Duguid – Chair

Ian is a serving member of the Armed Forces. He joined the Royal Air Force in 1986 and has spent the majority of his time as a fighter pilot, predominantly flying the Harrier jump jet and more latterly the Typhoon fighter.

He also has extensive experience in strategic management and leadership roles within the Ministry of Defence.

Ian joined the governing body in 2008 and has sat on the finance, academic and personnel committees. He is Chair of Governors, a position he has held since summer 2013. Ian also has responsibilities as the diversity governor and is the link governor to the school’s psychology department.

Ian has 3 children in the school.

Charlotte Redcliffe -Director

Charlotte is a chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor by qualification. After working within PwC’s international tax and M&A teams, in 2001 she joined Centrica plc where she is Head of Tax for the group.

Outside work, Charlotte is a keen horse-rider and Pony Club mum.

She has three children, all at SWBGS. Charlotte is committed to supporting SWBGS to be the best it possibly can, and to giving all students the skills and confidence they need for the future lives they choose.

Rick Krajewski – Director

Rick, a chartered accountant by qualification, worked for almost 25 years at KPMG – latterly as Corporate Finance lead partner in the Consumer Markets team, and head of food and beverage advisory across the UK. Rick took early retirement from the City in 2009 and relocated with his family to his wife’s home town, Marlow, from where he runs his own corporate finance and strategic advisory firm – most recently selling the UK’s leading salt beef business to BidVest.

Outside of work, Rick is an avid skier and netball Dad, he also captains and manages Marlow Softball Club which plays in the local ‘co-ed’ league.

Rick, himself grammar school educated, is passionate about the success of SWBGS. Both his daughters currently attend the school and he has been a governor since 2013. Rick is a vice chair of governors – he also has governor responsibility for the Development office, maths and numeracy and works alongside other governors on working parties looking to develop the SWBGS reach.

Alistair Handford – Director

Alistair spent most of his career with Costain, including as a member of the Executive Board. Having managed major construction projects in the UK and overseas, Alistair and his wife, Ann, were living in Hong Kong where he was MD of Costain South East Asia when their two daughters (both Borlasians, one still there) were born. When they returned to the UK, Alistair’s responsibilities were for international projects before growing a PFI and infrastructure investments business within Costain.

Alistair is now semi-retired and runs his own infrastructure consultancy business, balancing his time between paid and unpaid commissions.

His roles within the Governing Body include being the Chair of the Buildings Committee on the Governing Body. He also chairs the joint committee between SWBGS and Great Marlow School for the development of a new shared rowing boathouse.

Both daughters have enjoyed and enjoy their times at SWBGS and value all the opportunities that has brought to them.
