Information afternoon Monday 26 March 2018 2-4pm at SWBGS
We think teaching is the best job in the world! We take seriously our responsibility to recruit the brightest and best Initial Teacher Trainees (ITTs) into our profession. In recent years, several of them have been Borlasians! It is always good to welcome our own former students into the Staffroom! Could this be you over the next few years?
Borlase trainees follow either a salaried or non-salaried route, with some generous graduate bursaries available. They work with us for their year-long training placement, with a half-term spent in a contrasting school. Trainees are each mentored by a subject specialist, receive weekly professional studies training from a range of experienced staff, and are trained and registered for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Astra SCITT, based at Dr Challoner’s Grammar School in Amersham. They experience a range of Outstanding learning environments during the year, and are trained in both tried-and-tested teaching methods, and the latest thinking from leading educationalists.
If you are interested in training to teach, either now or in the future, we would love to hear from you. We are holding an information afternoon 2-4pm 26 March in Room C5 at Borlase, visit the website for more information. In the meantime, please get in touch with Ben Parsons to discuss the routes available into training to teach at Borlase.
