Aim for Excellence.

Therefore, we are always striving to provide more opportunities for our young people to be active; in both traditional sports and through health and wellness activities. We aim to provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. With this in mind, students receive 2 hours of PE & Games lessons per week. All students have the opportunity to study Physical Education at GCSE and/ or A Level in addition to Sports Leaders Qualifications.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR SPORT

Every student, regardless of ability or athleticism has access to an extremely diverse, extra curricular sports programme and can choose between recreational activities, or elite sports.

Borlase has two focus sports in Rowing & Hockey and also provides competitive opportunities in athletics, cheerleading, cricket, cross-country running, equestrian, football, netball, rounders, rugby, softball, tennis and trampolining. In 2016-17, Borlase competed in 20 different sports; had over 110 competitive teams and played over 600 fixtures. See individual Sports pages for further details.
