On Friday 20th March, the school closed its doors to protect our students, staff, their families and the wider community and to support the NHS and carers in their battle against COVID 19. We were all sad to say farewell to one another and particularly sorry to see our Year 13 students have their final year at Borlase cut short.
On Tuesday 24th March, school resumed in Borlase@Home. The school is back together but in a virtual environment. Assemblies, lessons, academic societies, competitions, sixth form induction, choral rehearsals, sports activities, charity work and much more all continue, keeping our Borlase community spirit. You can follow some of our activities on the Borlase Official YouTube Channel and on our Twitter feed.
Thank you to Borlase staff for their inspiration, enthusiasm and tireless commitment; to our parents and governors for their invaluable support and to our students for the overwhelmingly positive way they have embraced Borlase@Home.
Key letters and communications about Borlase@Home will be filed at the bottom of this page, as well as in Recent Mailings as normal.
I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you and well done to all of you at school for managing this enormous transition with such success. What a huge effort must have been involved from every member of staff - the senior leaders, teachers and support staff to make this happen. All this whilst taking care of the needs of your own families and loved ones - I hope you are all feeling rightly proud of what you have achieved.
