Borlase marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day
Despite the challenges of the coronavirus lockdown, the Borlase community has pulled together to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day and mark the sacrifice of Borlasians who fell in WW2.
To mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day Borlase invites you to share in our tribute to all who defended our nation through our darkest hours in wartime and to all who are fighting today to defeat and protect us from this invisible enemy. Thank You, Kay Mountfield, Headteacher
The school's History department has put together a commemorative video which can be viewed on the school's YouTube channel.
Eight of our senior students have collaborated remotely to sing a wonderful rendition of Glenn Miller's 'White Cliffs of Dover' and the music department has also provided a Last Post and a Reveille to mark the occasion.
The Development office has worked with the Old Borlasians Club to put together biographies of the Borlasians who died in the war and the school has also worked with Marlow Town Council to put together a commemorative video.
