Welcome to Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School, a state-funded, co-educational secondary school in the centre of Marlow, recognised not only for excellent academic learning and outcomes but also for our outstanding co-curricular programme. Since the school was founded in 1624, we have continued to live the school's motto, te signa sequere (follow things worthy), inspiring and empowering our students to go out and shape the world.

Prophesying the end of the world (kinda), but also some of the options by which we might be saved, this year's STEM Fayre showcased one again the incredible research and imagination of our Year 7 scientists. This year's displays featured: A 3D printed wind tunnel testing different aerofoil designs, Eggs, soaked in various liquids with the results observed, Warnings about the prevalence of microplastics and what we can do to reduce their creation, Working models of lungs, An exploration of black holes, and A "delicious" menu of alternative protein sources... SHOW TIME!!! With all credit to the staff and students of the Performing Arts team (@borlasemusic @borlasedance @borlasetechtheatre ) under the incredible direction of Miss Mountfield, this week's performances of the Senior Musical #westsidestory have left the capacity audiences wowed by the extraordinary talent on stage, in the orchestra pit, and in the tech box. All props to the incredible lead actors, cast, crew and live orchestra whose incredible performances and attention to detail would have made Robbins, Bernstein, and Sondheim as proud as everyone associated with the production. For everyone involved and all those lucky enough to have secured a ticket, these Manhattan nights will live long in the memory . Extraordinary scenes, participation, and talent on display this week with the finals of the Britpop-themed Borlase House Music Competition taking place during Form Time this week. 1,200 students took to the stage to sing classics from Oasis, Blur, The Verve, and The Boo Radleys. Meanwhile, the solo and ensemble finalists played, sung, and even whistled numbers from Rachmaninoff to Metallica at Thursday evening's concert. Before Christmas, 47/48 Forms practised and recorded their Form entries for even more house points! Well done @borlasemusic and @borlasetechtheatre for another outstanding event, and thank you to guest judge, @julianemerymusic, and @friends_of_borlase_ for keeping everyone refreshed beforehand and during the interval .
