Live Theatre & Drama Workshop for Sixth formers

Sixth form students participate in drama workshop and experience  live theatre production

Last week, the Year 12 and Year 13 drama students had the opportunity to experience a live theatre production at school performed by professional theatre company Splendid Productions.  The show, titled 'Ubu', was a brand new creative adaptation of Alfred Jarry's surrealist classic, exploring the themes of power, leadership and ambition with a concoction of music, laughter and politics.  The show is created for a self-contained cast of two, and designed to adapt to social distancing guidelines.

The students also participated in workshops on devising and the A Level set text 'Lysistrata' . It was an inspirational day for the students and what a treat to see live theatre at school!
